Shramsansar is a platform for providing information on employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in the labor market. It is a structure designed to establish a relationship between the stakeholders of the employment system, such as public and private labor market agencies, training providers, employment service providers, employment providers (companies or institutions, employment providing organizations or agencies), and to establish a sustainable complementarity between them. According to the Constitution of Nepal 2072, since employment is established as a fundamental right, the local government will take ownership of it. For this, the local government plays a facilitating and regulatory role among the stakeholders of the employment system to implement it sustainably.
It basically acts as a place or platform for collaboration between stakeholders in the labor market by providing information on labor demand and supply systems. It provides information on new employment opportunities to workers and establishes systematic operations in labor supply in a sustainable manner. Since this system contains records of unemployed individuals and stakeholders, the labor world will become a fast and simple means of obtaining statistical information on the labor market. The direct benefit of which will be taken by unemployed youth as well as its stakeholders. It will fill the gap currently existing in the labor market.
Shramsansar has been launched under the ownership of Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security. From this, municipalities are expected to bring about practical changes in the use of databases, digital technology and information systems on both the demand and supply sides of the employment system. It is believed that the launch of a mobile-based application will further facilitate access to employment information for unemployed youth. It will facilitate the analysis of the labor market situation, while monitoring labor market policies, documenting and facilitating planning. Its long-term utility is envisaged.
Characteristics of Shramsansar:
- The beginning of the labor market information system envisioned by the Constitution of Nepal will allow unemployed youth to search for relevant jobs on the Shram Sansar app.
- Relevant training courses provided by training providers can also be found and applied for to acquire the skills required for employment.
- Shramsansar will enable employment service providers to manage and upgrade data in the information management system of unemployed youth.
- Training service providers can only keep information about training and can also recruit trainees directly from the portal.
- Municipalities, networks and associations can publish or send information and information to all relevant users at once.
- Local governments will have access to information on the actual situation of the labor market. Which will be important for establishing easily accessible information for effective and efficient management of human resources.
